The George is located in historic downtown Wilmington with convenient docking amenities and an elevated dining experience designed to suit a variety of tastes. The George is also the only restaurant in the downtown area that offers a dock and dine option to their guests.

Upon entering the restaurant, diners have the choice of bar seating, dining room table seating, or they can opt for a table on The George’s awning-covered riverfront patio. The menus for lunch, dinner, and brunch are all equally delectable and diverse.

Starters include a trio of hummus, shrimp and crab nachos or alligator satay. Other highlights include the crab cake sandwich, Alaskan snow crab legs, classic fish and chips, Parmesan encrusted sea bass, osso buco, and The George’s famous steaks.

The George has a separate vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menu. It features a tomato basil primavera with corn fusilli or three tofu tacos.

The George InteriorBrunch is also a celebrated time at The George. Guests can enjoy a bright and fresh midday dining experience Friday through Sunday and crowd favorites include the Boardwalk Benedict with poached eggs, Hollandaise, cheese grits, and ham, as well as The Riverwalk which includes two crab cakes and poached eggs served over biscuits and grilled tomatoes topped with Hollandaise sauce. The menu is different and there is also a separate vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free menu for brunch.

From a sunshine-drenched dockside snack to a moonlight dinner complete with wine and dessert, The George has a dining experience sure to impress and leave a lasting memory.
